Petal Cone Santa

I was surfing the net for some inspiration on what I could make using the a new die I purchased recently.... the petal cone die which is exclusive to Stampin Up.  And I came upon a this blog ( http://deliaspaperworld.wordpress.com/2011/10/09/blutenkelch-weihnachtsmann-petal-cone-die-santa-stampinup-punch-art/  which I cased to make a Petal Cone Santa that sits on a box ready to fill with Christmas cheer.....

Here is a close up of the punch art santa......

And the full version.... Love how he turned out.....

I'll be back soon with some more Christmas creations real soon.....

Take care

WOW presentation - Canberra Regionals

I received a call from Sophie at Stampin Up asking if I would like to do a wow presentation for Canberra Regionals and of course I said YES.... I was so excited.....

So this is what I demonstrated..... How to make a frame ready to put a photo on using chipboard, morning mocha designer series paper, hand made embellishments, top note die and of course the bigshot......

These literally only take about 3 to 4 minutes to make.....

Some other samples I had on display using chipboard and DSP are an album using the top note die....

A wall hanging using the large scallop square, square duo die and a fridge magnet using the scallop circle die.....

Just remember to cover the back of the chipboard before you run them through the bigshot face down.  Why face down you may ask, well to get all of the detail from the top note die, otherwise this will be on the back of your design..... So give them ago with Christmas coming up and all.....

I hope you liked my creations and until next time....

Take care

Paper flowers and fabric covered buttons

Firstly, it has been a long time since I posted last.... lost the camera charger....oops and finally got around to purchasing a new one on the weekend....

This is a gift that I received from my up line Juliana....isn't it just gorgeous.  You can check out her other creations here

Next off the rank are some paper and fabric flowers that I created using small wine bottles to display them in... aren't they cute.  The centres of the flowers are covered buttons using Stampin Up's new fabric range.  Just love the quality and how they co ordinate so well with the DSP too....

Here is a full shot of the flowers and some curled paper to assist with the display's that were used for Juliana's Catalogue launch back in late August.

Well, I will be back real soon with some more to share.....

Take care

Sneak peek for Convention 2011

Hello All..... as mentioned earlier today, I would be back with another post after I went shoe shopping for my son Jacob.  Lucky duck he got two pairs for the price of one.....

So here is my next creation..... a 3D swap for Convention this year.  I am so excited as those who have been would know.... it is an experience of a life time.... every year though lol!!!

I used my Big Shot and dies to cut out the shapes I wanted using Frosted Shrinky Dink. You've gotta love the big shot for it's ability to cut through just about anything. I stamped Elements of Style onto the butterflies and hearts with Stazon black ink and use a crop-o-dile to punch out a hole before I shrunk the shapes in the oven.  A must remember to do before shrinking.

You can use your heat tool but I wanted to do around 50 of them, so it was quicker to use the oven.  It is really amazing how these shapes shrink to 1/10th of their original size in about 90 seconds and they look so sweet too....

Once cool, I attached these to a charm holder which I purchase from Spotlight and stamped on some card stock with a co ordinating stamp for easy packaging.

Hope you like.... and may be you'll get one if your going to the Australian Convention in Melbourne this May.

Take care until next time
