Just Add Ink Challenge

I just love VINTAGE and the everlasting memories that it brings....those to cherish of an era gone bye.... So here's my take of vintage for the JAI challenge. This is an absolutely gorgeous photo of my children's great grand parent Kevin and Gladys Mulcahy on their wedding day in the 1930's..... Look at the detail of Nana Glad's wedding gown and veil.

First of all, I dyed the pretties flower with baja breeze ink, let it dry and stamped over the whole flower with French Script in close to cocoa. The clear button has been inked with white staz on and the diamond background stamp (looks like spring) and then threaded some chocolate chip ribbon through the two holes. The lace on the side of the board is from my stash along with most of the buttons except the baja breeze. The chocolate ruffled ribbon is retired ribbon original and the the DSP has been torn, sponged and layered to created an aged looked that ties in with the photo of Nan and Pop.
I have used a dymo gun to type out Mr and Mrs Mulcahy which has been sponged in baja breeze and close to cocoa. The scalloped edge tag behind the photo also has more dymo labels which have our gran parent's full names, so that our children will be able to know a bit more about their family. The love sediment was created using my circuit. Hopefully the rest of my creation is self explanatory otherwise let me know.....
Be sure to pop over to JAI(www.justaddink.blogspot.com/) to check all the other fantastic entries.
Oh, Courtney is still alive and made it to 15 LOL!!!

Hi scrappin Mel! what a fabulous layout! so nostalgic and you complimented its antiquated vibe blue and brown shades. i love working with monochromatics because any bold colour still makes the black n white photo the star!!! i love your layout!
