Merry Christmas & Happy New Year........

Well this will be my last post until early Jan 2009, as I will be on holidays with my family. Can't wait, only 3 more days of work left and then relaxation as the crazy season draw to an end. So have yourself a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Here are two cards that I have made for family;

I saw on splitcoast stampers a wonderful idea to stamp onto tiles. So off I went to a local tile shop and purchased some stone tiles to stamp on with stazon and then colour in the image with stampin write markers. To finish off, I sealed each tile with a spray on sealant and there you have it, a coaster, table cloth weight or even a something to hang on the wall. The first one is for my wonderful friend and up line, Kim as she love nativities.

This design was for the Jacob's teacher and the wonderful ladies in the front office who took care of Jacob throughout the year, with monitoring his blood sugars, supervising his injections and helping him when he had numerous hypos/hyper etc... whilst at school (Jacob was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes (type 1) on the 20th of April this year);

This design was for my wonderful and very supportive friends, that I could not have made it through the year without them. The photo does not show up very clear, but I have stamped French script onto the background to add more dimension;

Last of all is a Star album that I ran as a class and I must say myself that the embossed photo mats really bring it to life. I just love my cuttlebug and folders, if you don't have one get one!!!

Until next time,

I Forgot!!!

I forgot to mention that you can click on the pictures to see a more detailed look at my crafts, so please do and let me know what you think.

Bye for know......

I've been very busy!!!

I have been so busy with planning and of course participating in festive activities and Jacob's end of year concert, making costumes for him to wear. He played two parts in his school plays; a farmer in one and then a goose in another. What a great performance he did, I was so proud of him. So that is what I have been up to for the last week apart from the usual of going to work. Oh, I forgot, the concert was fantastic and the praise that the children got from their teachers was absolutely gold. A big thank you to all their hard work over the year.

Back to scrapin, when I have a Stampin Up workshop I take along my scrap bin. It is so useful for carrying supplies and then for make'n'takes, to help keep the cleaning up quick and easy as everyone seems to put their off cuts or scraps in the bin. When it is not out and about with me, I have it hanging in my scrap room for me to use.

Here are a few cards that I made using my cuttlebug to emboss with and add texture to these 3x3 cards.
Until next time xoxox

Christmas class....

Here are some photos of a class that I did recently. All the girls could not believe how easy the projects were. If you are interested in a kit, let me know by sending me an email at mmu61048@bigpond.net.au and I will get back to you. Enjoy having a look at some of the projects that were made.
I just love clear cards, although they look so much better in real life. We used the Scribble This stamp set with stazon in jet black, real red and old olive inks, markers and card stock. Whisper white card stock to write on and always artichoke ribbon for the bow. To finish off, a large gold brad for the layered flowers and a stamped envelope to match.

This card is so pretty with the pearl beads glued on with crystal effects. Again we used stazon jet black and close to cocoa inks. Chocolate chip, close to cocoa and very vanilla card stock, cream organdy ribbon tied in a bow. I also used my cuttlebug, embossing folder and nestabilities.

This is a meander album that I found on splitcoast stampers and dressed it up with some ribbon, tags that pull out, dashing paper, co-ordinating card stock and hodgepodge hardware to finish off the belly band. The large oval, large circle and designer label punches were also used. The splitcoast stampers version has coasters as covers, but I played around a bit and found a way to make this cute 3in X 3in album without them. Would you believe, 1 piece of 12 X 12 card stock to make this album and some leftovers for the tags and belly band. There are also tags that pull out on some off the side pages as well. I should of added a photo to show you but never mind.
Well, had better get busy on putting in some photos of the family and make a box for the album so it is ready for Christmas. Another prezzie covered but many more to go!!!

Until next time xoxox

Their first Christmas together

This would have to be one of my most adored photos of Courtney and Jacob together for their first Christmas shoot. I love it so much, that I had to hanging it on the wall for everyone to see. If only they could stay this cute forever. It always puts a smile on my face when I think back to all those Christmas mornings or should I say dawns, that Andrew and myself were woken up after not getting to bed late, for you know why reasons, to see the excitement on their little faces that Santa has been. I don't think I can wait for Christmas this year, it is always so much fun Christmas morning even if the sun has not come up yet.

I though that I should share with you a make and take I did a few weeks ago for a Stampin Up workshop. I used whisper white, real red and old olive card stock, real red and old olive ink and an old olive brad to finish off. Very quick and easy.

Until next time xoxox....

Don't forget Christmas is almost here!!!!

I just love these papers from the Dashing range, they go so well with real red and old olive card stock.

A square metal edge tag with a centre of old olive double sided paper from the designer series was added to tag and then crossed stitched to the corner of the photo mat. Some stamped and cutout layered flowers with mini brads(Queen and Co.) to resemble poinsettias for the Christmas themed 12 x 12 pages. I added some bling(rhinestone brads) on a pull out journaling tag.

Some always artichoke ribbon on the stamped image from the Season of Joy set that was coloured with the real red and old olive stampin markers.

Lets hope that I break my habit for making pages and not putting any photos on them. Help remind me in the New Year as I should have lots of photos from our Christmas holiday this year.
Until next time xoxo.......
